and Fourth Year Medical Students since the
program was implemented in 2009.
MCHS renovated space in 2013 on the
seventh floor of Medical Center Hospital
for the
Louise and Clay
Wood Simulation Center
.
TTUHSC residents and nursing
students, Odessa College
nursing students and MCHS
employees and physicians
use the Simulation Center to
hone their skills in a high-tech
learning laboratory.
In January 2014, MCHS opened
the
Dedicated Teaching

Medical Center Hospital. TTUHSC physicians
admit their patients to this unit and residents
and nursing students have the opportunity to
learn through providing patient care.
MCHS and TTUHSC have also partnered on
a special area for residents and physicians.
Thanks to a generous contribution from a
grateful patient, MCHS renovated space on
the second floor of Medical Center Hospital in
2012 to create

TTUHSC students and residents to socialize,
take a break from schedules, complete
paperwork and study.
